Director, Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology Department
Full accountability for system engineering and advanced technology. Providing a single engineering point of contact and technical coordination within the organization. Reports to SVP Engineering
Lead and assume ownership for the system architecture design, system simulation/analysis and coordination of the overall system design and specifications Requires internal interface and collaboration with product management and engineering development team
Participate and contribute to reviews related to specifications, design, unit test and system tests same as above, interface with development groups
Represent company in Standards bodies and forums
Chair the IPR activities and patents initiatives
Support of Sales and Product Management activities: Provide technical collateral, customer meetings participation and presentations
Work with cross functional team to define project requirements and planning necessary to deliver quality product on time
Have full responsibility for staffing, performance, and budget Director must demonstrate both the technical expertise as well as the managerial experience.
BS/MS, plus 10+ years experience in developing architecture and design of complex systems. Minimum of 5 years relevant (meaning system eng, and not dev eng) experience in a senior management role including staffing, perf reviews and budgeting. PhD preferred.
Hands-on experience with 4G/5G systems, including wireless, and IP networking. Experience in the areas of NFV/SDN is a plus.
Understands the evolution of RAN solutions including new application services, and can articulate the corresponding technology road map vision.
Has experienced the dynamics of getting work done in a small company environment, and has achieved successful results. Met or
exceeded senior management expectations
Proven track record of superb people management skills and can demonstrate in-depth knowledge/experience in RAN development. Experience in designing small cell systems is a major plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required, will interact with cross functional management including the executive team
