DC Marketing Associate

You will work alongside a team of 25 people with experience that spans McKinsey & Company, University of Notre Dame Football, Goldman Sachs, and private equity. Your position as the B2C lead comes with a set of core responsibilities, but you will also be able to tailor the experience to fit your professional growth goals and experience all sides of a growing business.

You will lead the marketing and customer experience in our DMV market, and you will work along-side the Sales Manager and the Operations Manager in our close knit team. You will directly report to the Director of Marketing and the CEO.


  • Flexible schedule, but primarily Monday through Friday work week
  • Salaried position after successful one-month internship

Responsibilities include:

  • Marketing (60%)
    • Trial
      • Event coordination, planning, and execution
      • Design and distribute launch materials (flyers, gift boxes)
      • Coordinate property launch with property manager
      • Ensure customers receive a “WOW” experience on first order
    • Retention
      • Hone social media strategy and conversion
      • Design, create and implement newsletter strategy for Washington D.C. user base
      • Coordinate seasonal and regular promotions
  • Customer Retention (20%)
    • Resolve medium or high priority customer issues (There is a full-time customer support team that will escalate only these issues to you)
    • Work with operations team to ensure they are aware of the issue, steps are taken to rectify, and follow up with customer to ensure satisfaction
    • Manage all customer issues using our CRM platform, Streak
    • Follow-up with “lost” customers to gain feedback on Pressbox experience
  • Overall: (20%)
    • Quarterback open orders to ensure customers receive timely service
    • Create and present weekly presentations to leadership on market needs
    • Attend real estate and start up networking events
    • Contribute to strategy and company vision!
